SUMMARY:SFC Allen R Bodkin
DESCRIPTION:The Patriot Guard Riders have been honored with a request from the family of U.S. Army Green Beret (RET) Allen R. Bodkin to stand a Flag Line and escort their loved one to his final resting place. \nSFC Bodkin served his country with honor and distinction in the U.S. Army Special Forces for 20 years.  During that time he was stationed in South Korea and Germany and is a recipient of The Bronze Star.  After his military career\, SFC Bodkin worked for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and later for the Missouri Department of Corrections.  He was a lifelong member of the Crocker VFW\, the St Robert American Legion\, the S.O.A. and the Legion Riders. \nThe PGR will stage at on Thursday 21 July 2016 at 12:00pm.\nFancher-Rekus Funeral Home\n2247 Highway 17\nIberia\, MO \nA briefing will be held at 12:15pm. \nDue to the extreme weather conditions\, we will maintain a Flag Line for 30 minutes from 12:30pm-1:00pm. \nFollowing the services\, SFC Bodkin will be escorted to Iberia Cemetery where we will again stand up the Flag Line while SFC Bodkin is laid to rest with full military honors. \nThe weather forecast for 21 July 2016 calls for triple digit temperatures.  If you have the ability\, please pack water and please\, If you will be bringing a cage and have the ability and means to bring water\, please do.
