ABOUT THE MISSION:

Russ enlisted in the US Marine Corps after the 9/11 attack on our Country to serve our Country in its War Against Terrorism. Russ served as a mortarman in the 5th Marines/1st Marine Division, and during his three years of service served a tour in Afghanistan. Russ was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and Expert Rifle Badge. After his discharge Russ became a member of the DAV, Phoenix Chapter. He recently passed at the age of 39. Surviving Russ are his grandmother, parents and two sisters. It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and gratitude to this hero for his sacrifices made for this nation.

DIRECTIONS: 
Entrance to the cemetery is off of Adams Street, between N. Central Ave. and N. 6th St. in Show Low. Going East on Adams Street from Central Ave. turn left just before N. Central Ave. (right after you pass Adams Place).

Warm weather is here. Remember to hydrate a day or two BEFORE and during the mission and suggest getting into the habit of picking up a bottle of water when you pick up a flag for the flag line.
Although all prior statewide mandates have been lifted at staging locations, all members must still adhere to the following: *All members are required to carry a face mask/cloth covering at all times during the mission. There are still partners (funeral homes, cemeteries, churches) that may require masks to be worn as well as social distancing. Some families may also request masks/face coverings be worn. We will always respect their wishes.*If you wish to wear a face mask at a mission, you are free to do so.*If you feel ill or have a temperature, please stay home until you improve

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.
