Mission details : The family of Roy Hues, United States Army Veteran, has requested that Patriot Guard Riders honor his service to our country by standing tall and silent at his funeral service, and also at his graveside. We are honored to do so. Flagline will stand until service begins at 2pm, when Fast Team will depart to Palm Memorial Park Cemetery at 2521 Hwy 146, Dayton, TX 77535.
Flag bikes have been requested by family and LEO will proceed with procession from funeral home to cemetery at the conclusion of the service.
Obituary: Roy Eldon Hues was born on October 5, 1952 in Pasadena, Texas to Eldon Hues, Jr. and Francis Louise Higgins Hues. Roy graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 1971 and honored his country by joining the United States Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana and served in both Germany and Alaska. Every July he and some of his Army buddies would meet up for a yearly reunion together, several of whom will be here. Roy retired last year, and loved to fish and hunt deer, ducks and hogs. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching his daughter, Kimberly’s softball team in Dayton when she was growing up. Roy is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Diana, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
