Honor Mission
Roy Ben Willis, Veteran

Cpl Roy Ben Willis served proudly as a United States Marine from 1966 until 1971. He was a highly proficient and extremely skilled sniper and received a Purple Heart among other distinguished medals and awards while serving in Vietnam. It is now our time to stand for him, as he so proudly stood for us.

Special Instructions:

We will assemble and brief at 9:00 am ahead of the family’s arrival for viewing. We will stand a flag line during visitation and stand down during the 11:00 am service. After the service, we will render honors as the hero is transferred to the hearse and then form into rolling honor guard for approximately 16 miles to Sweet Home Baptist Church cemetery where we will again stand a flag line as a USMC Honor Guard performs taps and folds & presents the flag.
Coronavirus precaution disclosure:
Please bring a mask and wash hands often, be prepared to follow the guidelines to be outlined at the mission briefing.
A general record of attendees will be held by the ride captain for a period not to exceed 2 weeks in the case of the need for contact tracing.
If you test positive for COVID- 19 within 10 days of attending a mission please contact the Ride Captain with that information. Your name will NOT be disclosed.
Those who are sick, have a household member or other close contact who is sick should not attend and those who have a higher risk of severe illness should weigh the benefits of in-person attendance against the risk of exposure to a person with COVID-19, especially if recommendations for wearing masks and social distancing may be difficult to follow for themselves or others.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
