Seaman First Class Ross Rizner, Sunday 22 May 2016, Big Lake, MN
The family of Seaman First Class Ross Rizner has requested the MN Patriot Guard to stand a Flag Line to Honor his service to our country.
Seaman First Class Rizner served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 as a Gunner aboard the USS Waters. His tour of duty was in the South Pacific and was present when the US Flag was raised at Iwo Jima.
Seaman First Class Ross Rizner was an avid motorcycle rider and over his life span enjoyed riding many different motorcycles, golfing, and fishing. This day is set aside at the Activity Center where he has made his home for the last few years so a large amount of visitors are expected for the day. The healing will start with this celebration of life and with your help on the flag-line the family will be able to walk away knowing their loved one will not be forgotten.
