Honor Mission
Ronald D. “Ron” Kelly, Veteran, PGR

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Our friend and brother, PGR Ride Captain Ron Kelly has stood his final flag line and led his final escort. It is now our time to stand in his honor and memory for his service to our nation and the PGR. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971 for 3 years and 6 months, achieving the rank of Specialist 5 (SP5). He served as Personnel Services Specialist with the U.S. Army Security Agency in Okinawa Japan and at Ft. Devens, MA. He was a Ride Captain with the Patriot Guard Riders for many years, as well as the Sgt. at Arms/Ride Coordinator for Chapter 6, American Legion Riders in Columbia. He was friend to us all.
This is a three part mission conducted on two separate days.

Special Instructions:

Turn off of Highway 1 between the Horizon and Exxon Stations onto Pine Street for 1 block.
Briefing: 5:40 PM
After the briefing, we will establish a flag line for visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
We will establish a rotation to allow those who want to visit with the family the time to do so.
We will adhere to all COVID-19 guidelines and family requests.
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided
Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.

Briefing: 11:45 AM.  You must attend the briefing to ride the escort.
KSU: 12:15 PM to escort Ron and his family to the cemetery. This will be a 28 mile escort without LEO to the cemetery.
If you fly big flags, please check your flag mounts and ensure they are secure.
Flags & Water:
Flags will not be provided
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
