After completing HS he entered Boston College\, enrolled in pre-med and ROTC. After 2 years\, he quit school and enlisted in the Army. Upon completing Basic Training at Ft. Chaffee\, AR he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant and became a Fixed Wing pilot\, Artillery Fire Control Officer for Field Artillery.
