Patriots,
We have been requested by the wife of Roger DeWayne Hall, U.S. Army, to stand for her Hero.
Mr. Hall enlisted into the Army following high school. He entered active duty on August 27, 1970 and served honorably until November 11, 1973. His tour included Germany, Vietnam and Fort Hood, Texas.
Mr. Hall served in an armored cavalry unit, and his job was to put the tracks back together as they were blown up. Additionally, he served as a gunner atop the tank. On a lighter side, according to his wife, he had a tiny wild monkey befriend him that hung out with him in Vietnam for months.
While serving Mr. Hall earned the following medals:
National Defense Service Medal
Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal
Sharpshooter Medal (Rifle)
Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star
Combat Infantry Badge
Mr. Hall was a member of the Co A, 1st Battalion 81st Armor, 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. Army Forces Command.
Mr. Hall’s wife said that he spoke of his service proudly.
Please join us in honoring this True American Hero!
