He completed two enlistment periods spanning from his high school years beginning in 1964 and then retiring in 1997 as an E-5\, Petty Officer Second Class\, CT02 Cryptologic Technician\, Communications. His two DD214 documents show that his awards include: Naval Reserve Meritorious Service\, Pistol 45 Marksman\, Navy Good Conduct Medal (4 Awards)\, Navy “E” Ribbon (3 Awards)\, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal\, National Defense Service Medal (2 Awards)\, Overseas Service Ribbon (3 Awards)\, Security Group Norfolk VA Award.
