ABOUT THE MISSION:

The beloved father of one of our PGR brothers Bo “Birdman” Chambers, has departed this world to rest in the arms of his Lord and Savior. Robert Vern Chambers, Sr., served his country honorably and faithfully in the U.S. Army from December 1958 to March 1962. Specialist Four Chambers served in Company A, 1st Air Recon Support Battalion in Small Arms. Mr. Chambers loved the United States of America deeply. He enjoyed hunting and especially bird hunting, and fishing. He loved his family as a devoted father and grandfather. The Patriot Guard Riders are honored to provide a rolling honor guard and stand for this true American HERO as he is laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.

Special Instructions:

Stage in the back far eastern corner of the parking lot. The Patriot Guard Riders are always respectful of family and guests. Parking spaces up front and closest to the entrance should always be left open and available for them. After a short briefing we will establish a flag line and stand for the arrival of family and guests. We will stand a silent flag line of honor and respect until the start of a memorial service at 12:30 pm. We will then get lined up for a Private Escort Service assisted rolling honor guard from the funeral home to Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.  KSU scheduled for 1:00 pm for a 2:30 pm service at GNC.  Olga Noel will provide our flag wagon services. This mission will be conducted simultaneously with a second mission escort in Canton.
“Coronavirus precaution disclosure: Please bring a mask and wash hands often, be prepared to follow the guidelines from state and local officials as well as facility or cemetery guidelines to be outlined at mission briefing. A general record of attendees will be held by ride captain for a period not to exceed 2 weeks in the case of the need for contact tracing. If you test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of attending a mission please contact Ride Captain with that information, your name will NOT be disclosed.Those who are sick, have a household member or other close contact who is sick should not attend and those who have higher risk of severe illness should weigh the benefits of in-person attendance against risk of exposure to a person with COVID-19, especially if recommendations for wearing masks and social distancing may be difficult to follow for themselves or others.”

This service for Mr. Chambers is scheduled for 2:30 pm. We have a second simultaneous mission, (escort from Darby FH to GNC) for Army Veteran Eadie with service at 2:00 pm. We will endeavor to arrange to have both services at the same shelter. Please plan to attend both services. Olga Noel will provide flag wagon services.
