DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nRobert Peterson\nUSA – WWII\nKearney\, Nebraska – 07-23-18\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nPFC Robert Peterson\, 98\, faithfully served his country from 1942 to 1945\, during World War II\, with the U.S. Army 17th Infantry where he earned a World War II Victory Medal\, Asia Pacific Service Medal\, Infantry Medal and Purple Heart.  Robert was a combat infantryman and bugler with the 17th Infantry.  He was in following battles or campaigns: Aleutian Island\, Easter Mandates Southern Philippines Islands. He was wounded in the Pacific Theater June 7\, 1945.  Robert was a member of the V.F.W. as well as the Disabled American Veterans.  He was honored to have participated in a recent Hero Flight.\n\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 07-23-18 \nStaging Time: 1:00 p.m. \nFirst United Methodist Church\n4500 Linden Dr.\nKearney\, Nebraska\n\n\nRide Captain: \nStacey Erstrom\nserstrom@gmail.com\n308-870-1649\n\n\nSpecial Instructions: \n\nRiders meeting:  1:15 p.m.\nFlag line:  1:30 p.m.\nFuneral service:  2:00 p.m.\n\nFollowing the funeral service\, weather permitting\, the PGR will escort Robert to his final resting place at the Kearney Cemetery.
