During his time in service, he was awarded the Silver Star; the Purple Heart; the Korean Service Medal; the United Nations Service Medal; the National Defense Service Medal with 1 OLC; the Good Conduct Medal; the Bronze Star Medal with V Device; the Combat Infantryman Badge, 2d Award; the Parachutist Badge; the Army Aviation Badge; the Army Commendation Medal with 2 OLC; The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Lebanon), the Senior Parachutist Badge, the Senior Army Aviation Badge; the Air Medal with 1-16 Awards; the Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal; the Vietnamese Parachutist Badge; the Bronze Star Medal with 1 OLC; the Vietnam Service Medal; the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Dev; the Master Army Aviation Badge; the TET Counteroffensive Medal; the Vietnam Counteroffensive Phases III, IV and V; the Korean Summer-Fall / 3d Korean Winter and Korean Summer Fall awards; the Vietnamese Advisory Medal and the Vietnamese Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm.
