ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family and friends of U.S. Navy, Aviation Electronics Technician Chief Robert Michael Wilkerson has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Riders escort the family from staging area and stand a flag line at Jacksonville National Cemetery during his interment as they show their final respects to their loved one. Chief Wilkerson honorably served his country for 24 years from 1968 to 1992. During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal w/5 awards) Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, 2 Navy Achievement Medals w/Gold Star, Battle “E” Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Wings.
