ABOUT THE MISSION:

Jerry Goodman served his country with honor during the late 1950’s thru Mid 1960’s. He served in the United States Army 1st Brigade 8th Mobile Calvary as a Light Arms Specialist Infantryman. After his service he returned to Bastrop, La. and began a career working for International Paper. He loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. His family has asked the Patriot Guard to stand in respect of his service and it will be out honor to do so.

Special Instructions:

Flags will already be set. We will assemble and stand before the service. During service we will have a escort briefing.
After service we will escort him to Memorial Park Cemetery on Hwy 425 North of Bastrop. Approx 5 mile escort.
There we will stand by flags during his interment service.
Weather should be cool, slight chance of a shower. Check local weather before heading out.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.

Ecclesiastes 3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;. Lord we pray for strength for the family as they go through the days ahead. Bind them together in love and comfort them only as you can.
My wife and I wish to offer our deep heartfelt condolences.
They did their part. Now we will do our very best to honor you.

We have lost another Great American Hero,

Angie and I offer our deepest, and most heartfelt condolences to the Family and Friends of this true American Hero. It’s with great sorrow we say goodbye to all our great Heroes. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of those who stood and fought for our country. Be proud and strong in their beliefs.
