ABOUT THE MISSION:

SSG Robert J. Stevens, age 29, died Saturday, June 29th at the hospital in Dunn, North Carolina. He was on active duty and serving as an electronic warfare specialist in 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division and died as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident. SSG Stevens was a veteran of the War on Terror. His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, GWOT Service Medal, Airborne Badge and Jump Master Badge.

Special Instructions:

This will be a flag line only. SSG Stevens and his family will be escorted from Columbus to GNC by a contingent of patriot riders. Stage at the POW/MIA flag pole area. Bikes on right sidewalk. Cages along right curb just prior to area or after. After a short briefing we will move to the assigned shelter at the appropriate time. Service is scheduled for 2:30 pm. There is an earlier mission with service at 1 pm. Please plan to attend both missions if at all possible.

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.
