ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Robert “Sonny” Newcomb Jr. 70, has requested the Patriot Guard to participate in the celebration of life of their loved one.  Mr. Newcomb joined the Marine Corps in 1968 and served our great nation as a Radio Operator in Viet Nam.  Mr Newcomb was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5077 and Lodge Master of Masonic Lodge #47 where he is a 33-degree Mason and, for a time, a member of the Daniel Boone Shriner Club Clown Group.

My wife and I wish to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of this true American Hero, USMC, Viet Nam War Veteran, Robert Edward Newcomb, Jr. We thank you for your service to a grateful nation, may your family find peace in knowing you served proudly and comfort in the months to come. We stand with feet planted firmly on rich soil knowing what freedom is. Because of our veterans, I am free to honor God and country without persecution. Where there is injustice, I am free to fight. Where there is silence, I am free to speak. Where there is hate, I am free to love.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Loved one . I pray God will strengthen , comfort and bless you all as you go through this time of sorrow.
I am thankful for Mr. Newcomb’s service and sacrifice to our country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War . He is “Fallen Never Forgotten ” . May he Rest In Peace .
