ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of U. S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran Robert Earl Ross has asked the PGR to stand in honor of their fallen Hero. Sgt Robert Earl Ross began his military career September 26, 1969 and completed his service September 11, 1972. Sgt Ross attended several schools on active duty: MCI Corrections (1970); Marine NCO (1970); Tactics of Marine Rifle Squad (1971); Operations against Guerrilla Warfare (1971); Fundamentals of Map Reading (1972); and Sea School MCRO (1970). Sgt Ross’s last duty assignment was aboard the USS Oriskany. Sgt. Ross received the National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device, Meritorious Unit Citation, Pistol Sharp Shooter Badge, Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Oak Leaf Clusters, and Letter of Commendation.

Military honors will be performed by the Stephens County Honor Guard.
