Honor Mission
Robert D. Cole, Retired
United States Army & Army Reserve, Vietnam

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard will be honored to escort MAJ Robert Cole, United States Army, to his final resting place in Barrancas National Cemetery and stand a silent flag line in honor of his faithful service to his country. MAJ Cole’s numerous awards include the Expert Infantryman Badge, Army Commendation Medal w/2OLC, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star w/2OLC, Republic of Vietnam Ranger Badge, Republic of Vietnam Staff Service Badge First Class, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Bonze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal. MAJ Cole served over 23 years active duty in the United States Army, over 5 years in the Reserves, and over 20 years in the civil service. Robert Cole was born 6 July 1938 and passed from this earth on 21 July 2021 at the age of 83. The Patriot Guard will meet MAJ Cole, family, and American Legion Riders at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N New Warrington Rd, Pensacola.

Special Instructions:

NAS Pensacola requires that long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT Approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection be worn while riding aboard the base.
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
