ABOUT THE MISSION:
Robert Brooks Sands, III, of Fort Worth, Texas, born on March 3, 1945 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the late Ella Inez and Robert Brooks Sands II, passed away at age 74 on May 24, 2019. “Sands” honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a degree in Business Management. Mr. Sands worked for Radio Shack Corporation, and retired after 31 years. Obituary [1]

Riders will stage at the Visitor’s Center of DFW National Cemetery. After the mission briefing, Honor Bikes will be selected, and they will move to Staging Lane 3. Remaining riders will proceed to Shelter C, set the flags and await the arrival of SGT Sands and Family. After the service, flags will be returned to the storage locker and riders will be debriefed and dismissed.
