ABOUT THE MISSION:
Robert “Bobby” Young joined the Air Force right after High School on August 1, 1961, his MOS was MORSE INTCP OPR. After serving in Italy and France he returned to civilian life on July 28, 1965. Mr. Young passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 in Palestine. He was born January 5, 1940 in Teaselville, TX to George and Mary Young. Bobby was a member of First Baptist Church of Tyler. He graduated from Bullard High School in 1958. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Italy and Turkey from 1961 to 1965. Mr. Young owned Bullard Feed Store from 1988 to 1996 and later retired from Lowes. He spent many years at Lake Palestine fishing and teaching others how to water ski. Mr. Young was the life of the party, always with a joke to tell or a funny remark to make and frequently had friends and family over for his famous fried fish dinners.
