Honor Mission
Robert “Bob” Drum, Veteran
Puyallup, Washington – 03-31-21

Northwest Ride Captain Bryan Drum has invited the PGR to join in presenting a casket flag to the widow of his uncle, Robert “Bob” Drum. Bob passed a year ago at the beginning of the pandemic and had asked for no service or fanfare and his aunt followed through with his wishes, but in so doing she was never presented a flag for Bob’s service. Bryan reached out to our state captain and explained the situation and he said the PGR will rectify that situation. We will honor Bob’s wishes for no fanfare by simply riding up to the house dismount and stay with the bikes saluting the flag as it passes by. After presenting the flag we will re-mount and fade away. Bob and Margie loved this country but led extremely private lives, so we will not linger and invade that privacy, we will simply let her see that this country loves them back as we honor Bob’s service. Robert Drum DOB 07/13/1939 DOD 03/30/2020 served in the U.S.Navy 1957-1960 he served as a radioman on the destroyers – USS SN Moore 1958-1959 & USS Shelton 1959-1960.
