Ricky Dean Montgomery Comment

  1. Mission Complete: 13 November 2020 – A3C Ricky Dean Montgomery, USAF, Oklahoma City Oklahoma.

On Friday 13 November, 2020, there were 5 riders on 5 bikes and 1 cage who attended the mission to Honor the Military Service of A3C Ricky Dean Montgomery USAF, at the Oklahoma Cremation and Funeral Home.

With Flags staked at the funeral home the briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue, Silver, and Gold Star families, POW’s, MIA’s. A prayer asking comfort for the grieving family, a safe mission and protection for out military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.

PGR riders stood the Flag Line, with the USAF service flag and the American Flag at the entry and manned the door as family and friends arrived for the service. When the service started, riders retrieved the flags and stored them in the flag vehicle for the next mission. The USAF Honor detail preformed the Military Honors and presented the surviving family with Folded Flags, and the PGR read the Plaque and Invocation and presented them to the family.

A Respect Line was formed as the Hero was carried from the chapel to the coach for transport to the Sunnylane Cemetery, where a second Respect Line was formed as the Hero was carried from the coach to the Brier.

Thanks to the Oklahoma City Police Department for their help in making sure this was a safe and successful mission as they escorted the procession from the funeral home to the cemetery.

Thank you to all my fellow PGR riders for attending this mission to Honor one of America’s Great Heroes, your presence made a difference to this family.

Most of all thank you Ricky Dean Montgomery for your service to this great Nation and to your neighbors. Rest in Peace Sir, your watch is over, and you will never be forgotten.

    Respectfully:
    RCIC: Jimmy (airride) Gaines
    ARC: Carl Watts

The Privilege to attend this Mission is our Greatest Honor.
