Another of the greatest generation has left us. Richard W. Patrick enlisted 3 days after his 17th birthday~~ he went in a boy and came out a man before most reach legal adulthood. He originally wanted to enlist in the Marines, but at the time his height and weight did not meet the criteria for the USMC – so he enlisted in the US Navy. Richard served honorably in the Navy during World War II, and was discharged as a Signalman Third Class. Richard was living in Mesa at the time of his passing. Richard is survived by his two daughters. The PGR has been asked by the family to have a flag line at his service on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10 AM at the Prescott National Cemetery.
