Honor Mission
Richard Thompson, Veteran

Our presence has been requested to stand and honor another of our Nation’s Heroes.
Spec 5 Richard Thompson was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and was a dual US/Canadian citizen.
Richard volunteered for service in the United States Army in 1968, and deployed to Vietnam the same year with the 704th Maintenance Battalion 4th Infantry division. Richard returned stateside, where he continued his service as an aircraft maintenance engineer until 1975.
Richard was passionate about his Harley and the brotherhood of the American Legion Riders. Richard was also a Patriot Guard Rider.

1:30 pm –Service Ends, Mission debrief

  1. Another HERO Honored with the help of our newest PGR Member, 7 year old Sebastien Bakko, my grandson. It was an honor to stand with him and see his eyes get big when Chad gave him his first timer pin.

There will be a flagline at the entrance to the cemetery, with an escort to the family home after the service.The escort is approximately 5 miles. Weather will be 90′
