It is with a heavy heart that I report the loss of another American hero a Vietnam Era Veteran, SPEC 4 Richard Tomaszewicz, Army
The family of Richard (Rich) Tomaszewicz have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard at Georgia National Cemetery. Family will transporting the cremains and we will Stand a silent flag line during the committal service to show Respect and Honor for their Hero.
Rich enlisted in the Army, June 1965. After basic, he attended Army finance and accounting schools at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Rich was then posted to the Army “listening radio station” Asmara, Eritrea [Ethiopia]. He was later transferred to Fort Stewart and continued to live in the Savannah area after his active duty discharge in 1969.
