DESCRIPTION:Memorial\nRichard Lee McLennan\, Retired\nUSA –\nLawton\, Oklahoma – 04-01-21\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nThe family of LTC (RET) Richard Lee McLennan US Army\, Vietnam Veteran has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to post flags and stand in honor of their hero at his memorial service. LTC McLennan passed away April 29 2020 but due to the onset of Covid-19 restrictions he was not given a memorial service at that time. There will be no accompaniment. LTC McLennan served in the US Army earning many awards and medals with tours in France\, Vietnam and Thailand. His awards include: Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device\, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm\, Bronze Star Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster)\, National Defense Service Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster)\, Nation Defense Service Medal\, the Vietnam Service Medal\, US Army Commendation Medal and the Meritorious Unit Citation. He finished the last five years of his service at Fort Sill Oklahoma. After his retirement from military service he returned to collage and received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1979.
