He was wounded in a firefight and sent home where he eventually was determined to be physically disabled and medically discharged.\nHis awards include: Purple Heart. National Defense Service Medal\, Vietnam Service Medal with one Star\, Vietnam Campaign Medal\, and Combat Action Ribbon\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 08-12-19 \nStaging Time: 8:30 am  \nWilson Memorial Service\n2811 Fieldstream Drive N\nWilson\, North Carolina 27896\n\n\nRide Captain: \nRoy “Highwinder” Hankinson\n757-553-2470\nLevi Clemons\n\n\nSpecial Instructions: \nWe will set the Flag line for the arrival of family and friends as they bid farewell to this American hero. Visitation will be followed by a memorial Service. Following the Memorial Service we will mount up and escort LCpl Sauls to his final resting place at Stantonsburg Cemetery.\nThe family has requested the PGR to perform as pall bearers. We will Honor their wishes as possible. We will set the flag line and render appropriate honor during Military Honors.\nPlease ensure all bike flags are rigged for highway speeds.
