DESCRIPTION:Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders\, we have been requested to stand for PO2 Richard Dean Pingel\, 71.  “Dick” served Dec 1962 – Dec 1965 in various Naval Air Squadrons.  He immediately re-enlisted and served until his honorable discharge in 1969.  He received a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.  He was a master plumber and owned his own business in Colorado.  While there\, he helped form and became the Chief of Longmont Emergency Unit\, performing search and rescues\, and as a team diver when needed on search and rescue missions in the Rocky Mountains.  Dick loved fishing\, camping\, and motorcycles having ridden with the PGR.
