Honor Mission
Richard D. Gore Sr. , Veteran
Georgetown, South Carolina – 12-06-19


The family of Richard D. Gore, Sr. has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for their Hero. It will be our honor to so. He server in the Marine Corps for 4 years as a Wireman, MOS 2511. He received a Good Conduct Medal and a Sharpshooter Rifle Badge. After serving 4 years he was transferred to the Marine Corps Reserve Marine Barracks, U.S. Naval Base, Brooklyn, New York. On 7 August 1976 he received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Corporal. He continued to protect and serve as a Massachusetts State Trooper from 9/7/68 to 7/4/88. While working as a trooper, he was on the motor squad, was undercover for 11 years and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Marine Corps League for 25 years, holding every position and received numerous medals. At the time of his death he was The National Commandant for The Marine Corps League. He was a member of the Blue Knights, Honorable Few, and the Law Dawgs Motorcycle groups.

Special Instructions:

Briefing at 9:50 AM. After the briefing, we will establish the flag line and stand until the Celebration of Life service starts at 1100 AM.
We will then stand down and quietly vacate the area.
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided
Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.
