DESCRIPTION:The family of PVT Richard Carlton Shurling\, South Carolina National Guard\, has requested  the Patriot Guard Riders to stand a flag line for their loved one\, who  proudly served in the South Carolina National Guard\n\n​​Pvt. Shurling enlisted 6 June 1980\, completing Basic Training at Ft.  Sill\, OK and then served in the SC National Guard until 20 April 1986.   Pvt. Shurling served as a Field Artillery Surveyor.  His badges included  Sharpshooter with the M-16 and 2d Class Hand grenade.\n\nFuneral  services\, with Military Honors\, will be held at 1500 hours (3:00 pm)\,  at Graham Funeral Home Chapel\, 2200 South Fraser Street\, Georgetown\, SC  29440. \nVisitation will precede the service from 1400 – 1500 hours (2:00 pm  – 3:00 pm). \nWe have been asked to escort the family to the cemetery\,  where a graveside service will follow. \nMISSION DETAILS:  WEDNESDAY\, 6 JULY 2016 \nStaging:  1330 – 1335 (1:30 pm – 1:35 pm) at  Graham Funeral Home Chapel\, 2200 South Fraser Street\, Georgetown\, SC  29440. At the conclusion  of the service\, we will render Honors as Pvt. Shurling is placed into  the hearse.  We will them provide an escort to Mt. Olive Cemetery on  Pennyroyal Road\, Georgetown\, SC.  Once at the cemetery\, a flag line will  be established and held until the end of the graveside service. \nMt.  Olive Cemetery is an old cemetery\, with tight access.  There is no  paved surface but the ground surface was no problem to drive on.   Motorcycles should bring a kickstand pad. \nIt is forecast to be another extremely hot day.
