ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand a flag line for SSgt Richard Burgess. SSgt Richard Burgess served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. SSgt Burgess joined the service at the age of 17 and was captured in 1966, was a POW for six and a half years, and was released March 25, 1973 as part of Operation Homecoming. This will be a graveside service only. The service will be at 11:00 AM. We will stand a flag corridor for SSgt Richard Burgess to be brought through to his final resting place; we will then stand a flag line for the graveside service.
