Richard proudly and honorably served in the Navy as motor generator repairman. He served two years eleven months sea duty including a tour off the coast of Vietnam. He served on the USS Independence CV62. Richard was very proud to participate in PGR missions when his work would allow. He also volunteered at the Trail of Honor.
