2LT Richard “Dick” Anthony Collins
U.S. ARMY KOREAN WAR VETERAN

Died: Aug 31, 2016

His family has requested that the PGR stand a silent flag line to honor his life and service. We are honored to accept.

Mr. Collins enlisted when he was 17, serving in the Army at the end of WWII in the Tokyo Honor Guard for Gen Douglas MacArthur Dick joked he spoke to him daily. Dick would say “Good Morning General” and MacArthur would reply “ Morning solider.” He later attained the rank of 2LT and was assigned to the 35th Regimental Combat Armor in Korea.

Services: 2:30 pm Monday, Sept 19th at
Georgia National Cemetery
Canton, GA.

This memorial service will be a flag line only

Staging: NLT 1:50 pm at the PIC building where we will have a briefing then head to the assigned shelter to establish the flag line.
