It is with sadness that I announce the passing of another “greatest Generation”


The family of Reverend Hubert C. Clinard, US Army, has graciously invited the Patriot Guard Riders to escort Mr. Clinard and his family from J C Green Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC to Hills Chapel United Methodist Church, in Stanley, NC. Mr. Clinard served in the US Army for 2 ½ years during WWII. He was assigned to the B Battery of the 540th field Artillery Battalion and also served in the Pacific Theater Campaign earning him the Asiatic-pacific Campaign Medal.

Please join us in standing for Mr. Clinard as he wants stood for us and our great nation.

Escort Departure is at 2 pm sharp: for safety reasons we will not be fly 3’x5’ flags due to the interstate Highway speed. The escort is about 90 miles, a 1hr and 45 minute ride to the church in Stanley. We will not establish a flag line in Thomasville, but will at the church in Stanley. Somebody from the Piedmont will be waiting for our arrival.

Please read and remind yourself that to bring plenty of water and snacks. It is to be in the high 90% so please drink plenty of fluids. Please make sure that anyone that comes to the JC Funeral Home has a full tank of fuel.

NOTE: NO 3’x5” FLAGS ON THE HIGHWAY

Briefing: 1:45 PM

After the briefing we will stand a flag line for arrival of visitors and guests. Once the service begins at 3:00, we will stand down and prepare for the grave side service with full military honors in the church cemetery directly across the street.

I will be your POC until a RC steps up.
