DESCRIPTION:Reggie “Jake” Jacobsen\, 71\nUS Navy Vietnam Veteran\nEscondido\, CA\n12 JUN 2016\n\n\n\nThe family of Reggie “Jake” Jacobsen has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so. \nJake quit high school in 1963 and joined the Navy where he would eventually earn his G.E.D.  He served until 1967\, time which included service in Vietnam. \nIn civilian life Jake worked 36-years for Pacific Bell/AT&T in Los Angeles.  After retiring from the phone company he began a second civilian career working at KLM.  He retired from there last year due to his illness. \nJake was an avid camper\, hunter and outdoors-man.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 149 in Escondido\, CA.  As an avid motorcycle rider\, he was a Charter Member of the American Legion Riders Chapter 149 and the American Legion Riders Department of California.  He was also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and attended many mission in support of the families and the fallen. \nJake is survived by his wife Judy\, his son\, his daughter and sister\, all of Escondido. Jake was preceded in death by his brother Bill Jacobsen\, father Ray\, and mother Lois Jacobsen. \nThe family has requested a Flag Line at American Legion Post 149 in Escondido as Jake is honored for his service. \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.
