ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Sidney area friends and family of long-time PGR Ride Captain, Army National Guard Veteran, Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter & EMT Randy Haddix, 56, of Sidney and Broken Bow, Nebraska has requested the Patriot Guard Riders participate in his Celebration of Life Ceremony. After graduation, Randy enlisted in the Army National Guard-Nebraska. He was stationed with Co C 1195th Armor. His military education was a 14-week training at Fort Knox, Tennessee for his specialty, an armor crewman. Randy was honorably discharged on February 11, 1985 as a SPC4 from Company C 1-195th Armor. In August of 1984, Randy started working at the Broken Bow Police Department. When Randy was in Broken Bow he was a volunteer firefighter and EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). In April of 2018, Randy had started his new job at the Cheyenne County Sheriff Department in Sidney, Nebraska as a jailer at the time of his death. Randy was a member of the Region 21 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
