SGT Randy Allen Rosenwinkel, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

We have the privilege of honoring SGT Randy Allen Rosenwinkel, 71. Randy was born Sept 20, 1948 in Hammond, Indiana and died May 10, 2020. He graduated from Griffith HS in Griffith, Indiana, was married Sep 21 and joined the US Army Oct 2, 68. He was a Hercules Missile Crewman, serving at Ft Bliss and a tour in Korea. Awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Marksman Rifle. He was Honorably Discharged on Apr 4, 72 for a total service time of 3 yrs and 6 mos. After leaving the Army, Randy opened his own Electronics business. The family moved to Arkansas and he went to work at the Pine Bluff Arsenal as an electrical tech, where he retired in 2017. He was a member and Deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Randy enjoyed spending personal time with his family. Weekend trips and vacations when they could, or staying home playing family card games. He was preceded in death by his wife after 48 years of marriage. Survivors include 2 daughters, 1 brother, 4 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.  Obituary

  16. To the Rosenwinkel family, I want to express my sadness at your loss. A missile crewman during those years was extremely nerve-racking, but very much needed. I want to thank you for his service to my country.
