  1. My sincere condolences to all family and friends of this American hero. May he Rest in Peace

  2. On a was to be a cool start, 11 Patriots showed up for a Memorial service only in surprisingly sunny and warm conditions. After discussing the order of events with the Funeral director, the USAF Military Honors cadre, and the VFW Honor Guard, a briefing was held to explain the simple but detailed mission for the day.

Members posted flags along the parking area of the small funeral home and then stood a flag line by the doors, with the USAF flag posted prominently with the other three USA flags.

When the service began, the members waited patiently and quietly inside the ante room until the time for our presentation. At that time, we filed in quietly on each side of the chapel and the PGR plaque and invocation were presented to the son of our hero. It was noted in the briefing that the son had just signed up for the USMC at the end of the school year.

After the presentation, the members of the PGR saluted our hero and his family and quietly retired to the parking lot where the flags were furled for the next mission.

My thanks go out to God for a safe mission, to the family for allowing us to honor them and their hero, and to Senior Airman Randall Ness, USAF for his service.
