It is a most distinct honor and a privilege for the Patriot Guard Riders, at the family’s request, to escort United States Marine Corps veteran Ralph Ross McKibben, 88, to his final resting place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Veteran McKibben proudly served in the US Marine Corps from early 1946 to late 1947. Veteran McKibben served with VMF461 aboard USS Palau and at Cherry Point, NC. His tour included trips to Cuba, Brazil and Africa. During his USMC service McKibben attained the rank of Private First Class and was awarded the Marksmanship ribbon.
PFC McKibben, a grateful nation thanks you and is indebted to you for your honorable service. Your sacrifices grant us the freedoms we continue to enjoy to this very day. Thank you and Godspeed.
