ABOUT THE MISSION:

CAPT Ralph Pierno served his country faithfully and honorably in the United States Navy as a naval aviator and combat pilot. CAPT Pierno transferred from the Navy as an LCDR into the Naval reserves where he continued his career retiring as a Captain. CAPT Pierno received the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device, Air Medal with Strike Flight Numeral 15, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, and numerous other awards and decorations. Ralph was also a past Commander of American Legion Post 170, in Kingsland, Ga.

Special Instructions:

We will stand a flag line during the visitation until the service begins at 10:30 am. We will then break down and prepare for the Rolling Honor Guard to Jacksonville National Cemetery. KSU will be at 1:00 pm heading to Florida, there is a nearby restaurant if anyone wants to get a bite to eat prior to our departure. If you fly large flags please ensure they are capable of highway speeds. We will maintain social distancing and follow all CDC and local guidelines. Please bring a mask.
