ABOUT THE MISSION:
Rafael Vasquez served honorably in the United States Army and the United States Army Reserve from 1969 to 1974 earning the rank of SP5. He received a Letter of Certificate of Appreciation from President Nixon, for Rafael’s service in Vietnam. In Vietnam, Rafael served with the 170th Aviation Company. While serving, Rafael received the following awards and commendations: Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism While Participating in Aerial Flight in Vietnam; Air Medal (First Award) for Heroism in Aerial Flight in Vietnam; Air Medal (Second Award) for Heroism in Aerial Flight in Vietnam; Certificate of Appreciation from the USA for faithful performance of duty.
