ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of United States Army Air Corps SGT R. T. Shaw has asked the PGR to stand a Flag Line at his services to be held on May 7, 2019 at the Alex Cemetery, Alex, OK
The staging and the briefing will be held at the Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, OK.

Special Instructions:
Mandatory Briefing: 12:30p.m.
Riders wishing to accompany SGT Shaw, his family and friends to the cemetery MUST attend the briefing.
KSU: 1p.m.
If SGT Shaw has not already been transferred from the funeral home to the coach, we will stand a respect line as the transfer is made, then will mount up for the accompaniment to Alex Cemetery in Alex, OK.
Upon arrival at the cemetery a second respect line will be formed as SGT Shaw is transferred from the coach to the bier.
Military Honors and PGR presentations will occur at the grave side services.
Weather: Predicted to have a daytime high of 70 with a 40% chance of rain. Be prepared to ride or cage. We live in Oklahoma and know to watch the weather forecasts. They can, and may, change quickly.

Mission Complete: May 7, 2019 – SGT. R.T. Shaw, USAAC, WWII Veteran, Chickasha / Alex, Okla.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2019 there were 9 Patriot Guard Riders, on 9 bikes present to accompany SGT. R.T. Shaw from the Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, OK to the Alex Cemetery in Alex, OK.
The briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue, Silver & Gold Star families, POWs and MIAs. A prayer asking comfort for the grieving family, a safe mission, and protection for our military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.
We stood a Respect Line while family and friends arrived, then mounted up and, with the help of the Chickasha PD and the Grady Co. Sheriff, we accompanied SGT. Shaw to Alex Cemetery.
Upon arrival, we stood another Respect Line as SGT. Shaw was transferred from the coach to the bier. The USAF Honor Guard did Military Honors which were followed by the RCIC, who made presentations to the family and thanked them for allowing us to honor their hero.
Thank you to my fellow Patriot Guard Riders for attending this mission, your presence made a difference to this family.
Most of all, thank you SGT. R.T. Shaw for your service to this great nation.
Rest in Peace Sir, your mission is complete, and you will not be forgotten.
