POW/MIA Remembrance

Memorial
POW/MIA Remembrance
USA USMC USN USAF USCG – WWII, Korea, Vietnam, GW/ODS, WoT, Lebanon/Grenada, Panama
Little Rock, Arkansas – 09-20-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard is honored to be invited to attend the POW/MIA Remembrance. This ceremony, to be conducted in the State Capitol Rotunda, is a time for the public to gather and remember/honor our former POWs, those still MIA and the Families of those service men and women. The ceremony will include posting of the colors, National Anthem, reading from a POW journal, the missing man table script and this year we have the honor of having Dr Thomas Holland, the Director of Partnerships and Innovations for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency located in Hawaii. Their team is responsible for identifying the remains of those MIA and bringing them home to the Families for their proper burial. There will be a short reception afterwards provided by the Daughters of 1812. One of the Honorees is our own Andrea Welch Fisher’s Grandfather, CWO Austin Knapp, who was a POW for 26 months during WWII. Let’s show our support as she honors her Hero.
