POW/MIA CEREMONY IN HACKENSACK, NJ Friday, Sept 20

On 20SEP13, Bergen County, NJ is going to hold ceremonies honoring the POW’s and MIA’s that they have identified as having Bergen County roots. Specifically, they are going to be honoring 3 former POW’s from WWII. The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to escort these gentlemen to the ceremonies they will be holding at the Bergen County Court House at 1230 on Friday the 20th. We will also be involved in the ceremonies by holding a flag line around these gentlemen during the ceremony honoring their service and sacrifice.

The Patriot Guard Riders will be staging at Bergen County Harley Davidson on Essex Street in Rochelle Park. Riders should plan to begin arriving by 1115 with a KSU for the escort to be at about 1210. Bergen County Harley Davidson will be dedicating a portion of their parking lot for our use and will be providing cold sodas and water at no cost to us. Come on out and help us honor these gentlemen who suffered through the ordeal of being prisoners of war so that we might enjoy our freedoms at home. It is a heck of an opportunity to the shake the hand of a hero.
