Police K-9 Gunner – Wayne County Sheriffs Department

ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor of Fallen K-9 Officer Gunner. K-9 Officer Gunner – 10 years of age, served 8 years with the Wayne County Sheriff Department. K-9 Officer Gunner was born 27 March 2009. He began his career with the Wayne County Sheriff Office in 2010 with the Narcotics Unit. Gunner was trained in Narcotics detection, tracking, building search, handler protection and obedience. In December 2012, Gunner was reassigned to the Wayne County Sheriff Road Patrol Unit with his new handler, Deputy Richard Brooks. One of Gunners memorable tracks is when he tracked a suspect from a crime scene to a house where the suspect was found in an attic. Gunner has several Narcotic finds from vehicles and houses totaling over $100,000. K-9 Officer Gunner routinely put his life on the line to save his follow Officers and others. Please come and stand for this Fallen K-9 Officer.
