It is a most distinct honor and a privilege for the Patriot Guard Riders, at the family’s request, to stand a solemn flag line for United States Navy veteran Elijah Harold Twellman, 20 years old, and to escort him to his final resting place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Twellman proudly served in the US Navy and was on active duty at the time of death. He was trained as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate and attained the rank of MMN3 – Petty Officer 3rd Class.
Veteran Twellman, a grateful nation thanks you and is indebted to you for your honorable service. Your sacrifices grant us the freedoms we continue to enjoy to this very day. Thank you and Godspeed.
