ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders will stand tall and in a silent flag line of respect and honor during the services of LTC Phillip Tipp (76) who passed away on Wednesday 29 April 2020. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years and then went to the Army National Guard for 23 years and 6 months and retired with the rank of Sergeant and was Honorably Discharged. While in the United States Army he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, ASR/ARCOTR-2, ARCAM.
Mr. Tipp also was a Police Officer for the city of Mobile area and was an active member of the Alabama State Defense Force, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and then to the honorary rank of Major General. It will be our honor to have a Rolling Honor Guard from the Hughes Funeral Home to Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
