Tennessee is in mourning on the loss of another one of its Hero’s. We lost Steven Douglas Nichols, 48 of Chattanooga departed this life Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013. Steve was a 1982 graduate of McCallie School he then served in the United States Navy, and after the Navy he came back to Chattanooga and began working at Koch’s Bakery. He also was a member of the NRA and was an avid gunsmith holding his 07 classification, and was a member of Calvary Chapel. Survivors included his Wife: Cynthia Nichols, Mother: Barbara Davis, Children: Candace Nichols, Steven Nichols II, Thomas Nichols.
Steve was a MM Machinist Mate on Submarines in the U.S. Navy, where he performed all aspects of work to keep the ships safe. He also served with the USS Frank Cable, a submarine tender.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 @ 10:30 AM.Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the 3:00 Service on Sunday at the funeral home. W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral home:
