ABOUT THE MISSION:

PFC Vincent J. Ferrara, US Army WWII-MIA – with the help of DNA PFC Ferrara’s remains were identified and he is coming home.  The funeral home will meet the plane at General Mitchell Field on 9-23-19, but flight details are not available so we may not be able to escort.  On September 25th, we will escort PFC Ferrara from the funeral home to Woods National Cemetery where Vincent will be interred with full military honors.  Awards and Decorations: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Army Good Conduct Medal, European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Combat-Infantryman Badge, Honorable Service Lapel Button-World War II.  Those not in the escort are encouraged to stage at Woods Cemetery at 10:15 AM.
