Obituary: Pete L. Martinez was born September 15, 1926 in Burnett, Texas. He grew up in Austin where he met and married his late wife Frances. He enlisted in the Army shortly after Pearl Harbor at the age of 17. He served in the 1st Cavalry and was a Sgt when Discharged in 1946. He took part in many island battles in the Pacific. He and Frances had five children. He is survived by one son, two daughters along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Frances and two sons. Additional information may be available at briefing.
